47. Day 8 Picture: April 26, 2010

The following pictures are from the beach in South Boston down by Castle Island where I go running as much as possible. These pictures were actually taken on Saturday when I ran/walked for 2hrs around the area twice. I also did situps and stretches on the grass up by the castle itself. The best gym is outdoors, I absolutely love it. But the reason I'm using them for Monday is because I also went running on Monday around Castle Island for an hour, a nice 5 miles, however, my camera had died and I was unable to take a picture.

47. Day 7 Picture: April 25, 2010

Sunday is always my favorite day of the week, mostly because I don't have to work at either job and I usually get stuff done around the house, or I use it for a lazy day. This particular Sunday I chose to be lazy, and the following is who I was lazy with.. little Lola.

47. Day 6 Picture: April 24, 2010

I couldn't decide between photos for this day, it was going to be a picture of the beach where I go running all the time, but then I ended up going to the Red Sox game and decided to use those photos instead. But also, my favorite one from the day, we ran into Magic Johnson, and thus it became my photo of the day. So below is me and my roommate and one of my best friends with the very tall Magic Johnson.

Below are some of the photos from the game as well which I decided to include.

47. Day 5 Picture: April 23, 2010

The above photo is a picture of what happens when I don't pay attention to my surroundings at work. I was so zoned in on finishing my crossword puzzle that I didn't noticed one of my coworkers taking all the extra chairs in the area and using them to trap me at my desk. I only noticed when another coworker kept laughing and I turned to see what was so funny. She totally gave it away.. but I still had about 10 chairs behind me. Bordem, too much sugar and an overload of caffeine will do crazy things to you.

47. Day 4 Picture: April 22, 2010

My addiction, need I really say more... there are 3 DD empty coffees hanging out on my desk..

47. Day 3 Picture: April 21, 2010

Maybe your wondering why I just got done talking about working on my abs and now I post a picture of a PJ & J candy bar. Well because it's a completely odd idea, and its not just chocolate and PB & J, there are also crushed up potato chips in it too. Now who doesn't love a classic PB & J sandwhich, aren't you the least bit curious? I had to get it to share with everyone here at work. I will say, I expected it to be alot crunchier in texture than it was because of the chips, but it's worth the try. Just don't eat a whole one, you probably wont feel so well after, and they are definetly not good for you.

I have to admit, I am slowly falling in love with Trader Joes. It's small but not overwhelming and its much nicer and more interesting than shopping at a regular grocery store. They have a ton of unique items like the PB & J candy bar, and there are no brand name items at all which is oddly refreshing. With the Hawaiian theme throughout the place its almost like your on some island and not in a small grocery store located in the basement in Boston.

47. Day 2 Picture: April 20, 2010

This picture is for Day 2, April 20,2010, however, due to computer issues I was unable to upload it on time, but yes, here it is, the Bender Ball. My roommate and I, while browsing through Bed Bath & Beyond, (my favorite store) decided to pick up the "As Seen on TV" product and try it out. 1. because it was inexpensive, and 2. why not, we all could work on our abs a little more lets face it, so we might as well use something that might add to the motivation. Not to mention #48 on my list is to do 100 situps everyday for 1 month, so I officially started that today. I decided to do 50 in the morning and the rest before bed. The bender ball could also help with #89 on my list, but that will take longer than one month.

Taking votes now... do you think I'll actually use this regularly or will it get tossed out or put in a box somewhere with the rest of the junk I've bought and never used? Well either way, I have to do something, and each one of those little dvds provides some great Ab exercises, so wish me luck.. I may be in alot of pain for the next month!

Product review to follow :)

47. Day 1 Picture: April 19, 2010

What a day to start the challenge, Marathon Monday, perfect for inspiration considering #90 on my list is to run a marathon. The mass of white in the photo above are all people who have just finished the 26 mile run. There are at least 100 people walking down Berkeley Street. I was just taking a walk on my lunch break and even though everyone looks tired, wiped out and frozen, I was completely jealous that they just ran 26 miles and completed something that to so many is unimaginable. Considering I run a good 5 miles in an hour if I ran the marathon it would take me just about 5 hours to finish if I kept up a steady pace. This is definetly a push in the right direction and a ton of motivation to even finish in 3 hours, even if I have to train for 2 years to get there, it will happen.

Behind the Challenge

For all who know me, I always talk about how I'm going to do something, but then never get it done, whether it is because of time, money, forgetting about it, or its just plain crazy. For example, no matter how long anyone has known me, guarantee they've heard me talking about moving to California. I have been talking about it for over 6 years and yet, for some reason, I'm still in Massachusetts. Don't get me wrong, I am a big believer that everything happens for a reason that in these past 6 years the people I've met and the experiences I've had have made me the person I am today and I wouldn't want it any other way.

Earlier this year, my brother, his girlfriend (also one of my besties), and I were heading up to New Hampshire to go skiing. On the way up we started talking about things we wanted to do this year, and I decided I wanted to make a list of 110 things to do in 2010. Yes, that's completely crazy, trying to think of 101 things to do in 1001 days was hard enough never mind getting them all done in 1 year. Well needless to say, I never started writing anything down or even thinking about actually doing anything until I saw my friend Amy's post about the challenge she had started through
www.dayzeroproject.com and I was inspired. Now if you notice, moving to California is not on my list, because since that has been the one thing I wanted to do for so long, I figure I can wait a little longer because I've been saying it for years, no one will believe me anyway. Eventually I'll make it out there, but for now I'm going to concentrate on my list first, give myself some new goals for a while.

The challenge is literally as it says 101 things to do in 1001 days, its a unique challenge that inspires you to set and achieve your personal goals in life. I have made a list of all of them on the right hand side of this page, in no particular order. As you can see some of them are harder than others, some a little crazy but they are all something I've wanted to do, or do again. For example, I've been to a gun range before, but I'd actually like to go again and learn how to shoot better and hit the target, preferably hit the bullseye. Some I had some help with, like cheating and getting ideas from friends and other lists, or bucket lists. The challenge for me begins today and I plan on accomplishing each one of my goals by January 15, 2013. I will be continually posting my daily picture and everything I have accomplished.

Please let me know if there is anything you'd like to help out with, or join me in crossing off my list, I'd love all thoughts and comments about my progress, and I hope to inspire someone else to start there own list! Who doesn't love a challenge?!

Wish me luck!
